Plans include a new city court.
-by Ryan Cambridge

Construction is underway for a major expansion of the Bend Police Department Headquarters. Chief Andy Jordon says the work will include building a new city court which will replace the current one at City Hall. The expansion at the 15th Street facility will also give officers and detectives more room. The work should be finished in about a year. It will cost about 4.6 million dollars, and that will be paid out of the city’s general fund.
