Traffic is moving again on a stretch of Highland Avenue in Redmond that was closed for nearly two hours this morning (Mon) due to a gas leak. Sgt. Keith Knight with the Redmond Police Department says the gas leak occurred at about 8 o'clock after a backhoe ruptured a main gas line during a construction project. Knight says the section of Highland between 23rd and 31st Streets was reopened a little before 10 AM after officials from Redmond Police and Fire, and Cascade Natural Gas Company responded to the scene. There were no evacuations, no injuries, and no disruption to area residential gas service.
