A fugitive recently profiled on “America’s Most Wanted” was captured in Cottage Grove Monday night. Bend police received numerous calls from residents claiming they saw 36 year old Michael Bresnahan in the Bend area after it was reported that be traveled east from his last sighting in Springfield. Police were able to capture Bresnahan after a convenience store clerk reported a theft of beer in Cottage Grove. The surveillance tape was able to confirm his identity. Eyewitnesses in Cottage Grove also saw him walking on some railroad tracks. He was arrested without incident in Cottage Grove.
