Congressman Greg Walden is putting his time where his mouth is. Rather than taking the traditional "recess" that lawmakers use to meet with constituents in their districts, Walden and a handful of others are working on the coastal drilling issue. He says 72% of Americans are in favor of offshore drilling and finding alternative forms of energy saying the issue will hit hard this winter when heating costs are expected to soar. Walden expresses frustration with the House leadership...that they prefer to be out on “book tours” rather than concentrating on the will of the people regarding finding new sources of energy. But he expects an "up or down vote" before the November elections.
