Bend Parks and Recreation is looking at raising the price of building a new home in Bend. The Board is considering a hike in the System Development Charge on new home construction to about $5000 or $7000. This is money the district uses to acquire land and develop parks in the community. If the Board OK’s the initial hike it will go to a Public Hearing process, which will allow the public 90 days to comment.
