Bend’s Premier, All-Female Roller Derby League ends the 2008 Home Season with an action packed hard hitting evening of Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby!
Bend, OR. Saturday, December 6th, 2008 – The Lava City Roller Dolls (LCRD) are proud to present the final bout of the 2008 Home Season! The Lava City Roller Dolls “Smokin’ Ashes” are gearing up to take on Rose City’s “Axles of Annihilation” (Portland, Oregon). We’ve saved the best for last! The UNDEFEATED Smokin’ Ashes are ready to end the 2008 Home Season with a battle of speed, skill, and hard hitting power against their fierce rivals from the Valley– The Axles of Annihilation. The last time these two teams met on the derby track was during The Rust Riot Tournament (February 2008) where after an amazing contest the Axles managed to skate away with a win. You won’t want to miss the heart pounding action as the Smokin’ Ashes seek to end the 2008 Home Season with redemption against their big city rivals in an all out battle for Roller Derby Supremacy!

BOUT DETAILS:
Saturday, December 6th at the Central Oregon Indoor Sports Center located at 20795 High Desert Lane • Bend, OR.
Doors open at 5:00 pm. Bout starts promptly at 6:00 pm.
Advance Tickets for this event will be available on-line at www.lavacityrollerdolls.com.
Price: $10 advanced, $12 at the door, $6 Seniors and children under 12, Kids 5 and under get in FREE!
HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT:
A very special performance by “Hip Nation”- Hip Hop Dance Crew from Gotta Dance! Studio and Company located on 917 NE 8th St., Bend. In addition, attendees can sign up to participate in tri-cycle races at half-time – winners will receive prizes in addition to some serious bragging rights!
THE AFTER PARTY:
Join The Lava City Roller Dolls for some food, drink and booty shakin’ at the after party! The after party will take place at Timbers South immediately following the bout. Timbers South is located at 61131 S. Hwy 97 Bend, OR 97701. For directions call (541) 388-8178.
About the Lava City Roller Dolls:
The Lava City Roller Dolls, is Bends first Roller Derby League. LCRD was established in February of 2006. The League is comprised of 40+ members/owners. We pride ourselves on sportswomanship, teamwork, community involvement and promoting the sport of Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby (WFTDA). Our goal is to become members of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association "WFTDA" and represent Bend, Oregon at the National level.
